  1. Ha! Thanks, Aaron! :)

  2. Can’t wait to see the results! I’m in the midst of fixing up my home office, too. :-)

  3. Huh, huh! You called THAT messy? Well, maybe you just said ‘cluttered.’ That’s what my home office looks like AFTER I have cleaned it. Really.

I am really liking this book, too! So glad you wrote this recommendation, because I wouldn’t have known anything about it otherwise! It’s a fun read, and it’s in demand! People have made special calls about it at the bookstore, and there are 5 holds on it at the library. Looking forward to reading more tonight. Thanks! :)

  4. I’m so glad you’re enjoying it! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I learned today that the movie comes out August 7, and I’m thinking of trying to read Julia Child’s My Life in France before then. So glad you were able to get the book at the library!

August 7! That’s soon! Never read anything by Julia Child, could be good! I’ve just been reading a copy at the bookstore since it’s not available at the library. Read about dinner parties and aspic yesterday. :)

I would like to know if you are the DeeDee Wilcox who is associated with the pictures of the Chicago Tea Party? I am trying in vain to locate people who are associated with that tea party for my foster daughter. Please let me know if you are the one. Thanks.
    Kristi

  5. I’m sorry, Kristi, but I’m unfamiliar with the Chicago Tea Party and certainly did not take any pictures of it. Good luck on your search!

Wow, Dee, that sounds very interesting. I would like to read the book, too, when I finish ones I am reading. Just for FUN. I really would like to see that movie, too. But, I will never cook a lobster or make aspic. :)

I love you and I am very proud of you!

    Well… I don’t know about aspic…

  6. Oh, no, me, either! All of the aspic recipes sound gross, and I could never cook a live lobster. I don’t know how I’d even get one home!

Ah ha! Thanks for this post! That must be what’s eaten so many of ours!!! Well, to me, since it is so late in the season, they are so not worth it. Most of our tomato plants are done, so the last few can get eaten. No way am I touching those worms. You’re so brave!

Love this site, by the way!

I’m glad this post helped you out! It took a lot of researching bugs (and wanting to puke) to figure out what the problem was, so I’m happy to spare you that, at least! My friend Holly has the same problem, as well, and since her plants are finished, she just pulled them out. Ours are still producing, so we’re still waging war. :)

  7. That was a great concert! I was there, too! :)

    Dee Reply:

Sweet! Were you there Saturday or Sunday? We went Sunday night and were on the floor. Most incredible concert I’ve ever been to!

  8. These dogs are just so scrumptious. How can you not have a moment of peace with a pet sleeping next to you! Fills my heart with joy!

    Dee Reply:

I couldn’t agree with you more, Mel! :)

Love this collection. Dogs & gardening seem to be at the top of your list!

  9. I cannot tell you how much or indeed how well I understand as it may seem at least a little odd, coming from a stranger and all that. But when you say that this year has been exhausting, bells of recognition have rung loudly in my ears and all the way to Heaven. Yes, *exhausting*, same here. I can’t wait for it to be in the bag and to crack a new diary open. Best wishes to you!

  10. I soooo want to go to SXSW. I applied for a showcase but didn’t get chosen. Maybe in 2011!
