Chris and I are honored to know and have worked with Mark and Sandy Moreno, and we are super excited to celebrate with them as they launch Journey Church in Kingwood, Texas, this Sunday. I’ve worked with Mark on his web projects, including his blog, for the last couple of years. I was honored to...

No CommentsBaby Afghan by Holly Kaiser
My wonderful friend Holly Kaiser crocheted the most beautiful afghan for Mackenzie. Her daughter Emma picked out the yarn. Isn’t it lovely? I can just imagine cuddling Mackenzie up in this super-soft blanket. It’s a beautiful keepsake piece. I can’t wait to snuggle our baby girl in it. We had our 38-week OB appointment yesterday....

No CommentsThankful
What an amazing week. We were busy every single night. Gotta squeeze things in while we can, right? On Monday, we had coffee and caught up with friends, and Tuesday night we went to another Financial Peace University class to make up for missing Sunday night. Wednesday, Chris’s parents came up to Nashville with Ria...

No CommentsFinish Line is in Sight!
Today I begin the first day of summer classes… and officially my last summer semester. It feels so good to say that. I was marking off courses on the checklist my advisor sent in January, and I noticed that I’ve fulfilled the requirements for one course twice. The English Lit course I took in Fall...

No CommentsTrevor Hall at ATU
Trevor Hall was the opening act for Colbie Caillat Thursday night at ATU. His musical style was very unique – a blend of African rhythm and Dave Matthews. Our favorite song was Lime Tree. Chris bought the EP, and we’ve been playing it over and over again since we got it. You can download Trevor’s...

No CommentsBlue
Saturday night Chris and I went to see the Blue Man Group at Alltel Arena. Kristen Stracener and Derek Lewis went with us. It was a great show, and we had a blast. We saw them in Vegas in 2005, and the show was completely different. Unfortunately, it was very much like the DVD we...

No Comments"The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on." – Louis L’Amour
Finally, I have done it. I have signed up, jumped on the train, and started my own blog. My husband would be so proud, except that he is asleep on the couch. While he was working on falling asleep during the newscast, I was lying there thinking about all of the things I could be...
