It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and I really wanted to do something special for M’s teacher. Mackenzie has been in the same class for quite a while now, and her teacher is a huge part of her life — our life, really.
I asked Mackenzie what her teacher likes, and I got three answers: milk, red, and purple.
So we came up with this…
This is a really simple DIY project, and it’s really inexpensive, too. I just used items I already had on hand, plus some inexpensive flowers from Home Depot.
Simply spray paint some jars. I had these mason jars, but you could use old sauce jars – whatever you have.
Fill the bottom of the jar with bits of styrofoam to create drainage. Then, gently pot your plants.
These jars shouldn’t be used as a long-term planter solution due to size and drainage, but they make a lovely gift.
