Last night we went to Live on the Green for the second time (it’s week 3 of the 6-week series). We got there late and stayed late, but not quite long enough to hear Michael Franti at the end. Still, we had a blast.
Lea and her friend John saved us a spot, and we all walked around the wading pools with Mackenzie. It took her a few minutes to warm up to the idea, but after she saw a sweet, old dog laying down in the water, she shed her own fears and went for it. It was so sweet.
The night wouldn’t be complete with dinner via Nashville’s awesome lineup of food trucks, and a little something sweet. We had Maui fish tacos from Yayo’s OMG, Mackenzie had a cookie from Julia’s Sweet Truck, and of course, I had to get ice cream from Jeni’s. So, so good.
Next week’s lineup at Live on the Green includes headlining act features Robert Randolph and the Family Band. I’m really looking forward to it.
If you’re local to Nashville, have you made it out to Live on the Green yet? What did you think?
