Tonight while I made dinner, Chris and Mackenzie crowded into her treehouse tent and read All the World together. I listened in from the kitchen, and it was just as sweet as you might imagine.
All the World, written by Liz Garton Scanlon and illustrated by Marla Frazee, was a Caldecott Honor award winner in 2010. It’s a wonderful story about the commonalities from one family to another, the joys we share, as well as the disappointments.
I’m learning that I love Marla Frazee’s illustrated work. She also illustrated Stars and Mem Fox’s Harriet, You’ll Drive Me Wild. The illustrations in All the World are so intricate. They tell the story all by themselves. Just beautiful.
What are you and your little one reading lately?
