We just finished week three of our Portland Project on For the Love of Peaches. The recipes each week have been so delicious. This weekend we actually tried four – breakfast on Saturday, and then two small plates and dessert with friends on Sunday.
It was probably a bit much to pull off, but we get better every week. We started cooking at 1:30 for an early dinner, but Mackenzie only napped for an hour and then had an accident in her bed. By the time our friends arrived, I had yet to put my makeup on or remake her bed, but I threw open the door anyway.
I’m so glad Chris invited them over and that we decided not to let the limits of our too-small house or our tiny kitchen hold us back. We had a great time.
Here are the recipes for this week. The small plates/entrees are time-intensive, but the brunch and dessert recipes are totally doable, even with an almost-three-year-old underfoot. I hope you’ll try one of them.
