My favorite restaurant moment of 2009 was meeting another couple while having dinner with Chris at a new-to-us restaurant in the Heights district of Little Rock. The restaurant is called So, and the couple’s names were Skip and Alice. We became instant friends and talked for the next three hours. They insisted we try the chocolate basket, and we exchanged numbers and emails.
We talked theatre, indie film, music, and technology. We talked about why we still live in Arkansas and where we’re really going. We met them again a few months later for dinner & a play at the The Rep in Little Rock.
It doesn’t matter that Skip and Alice are some forty years our senior. Our meeting couldn’t have been more serendipitous.
