Writing

Seven Days and Counting…

April 15, 2008

So I have been blogging now for seven days exactly, and I feel the need to choose a direction or a theme. Or maybe I’ll keep this main page for updates and use the pages I’ve started in the sidebar to work out specific ideas.  I’m open to suggestions.  Ideas, anyone?  Or does anyone have a favorite from the very few blogs I’ve posted so far that I can expound on?

I’d tell you my titles, but I’m nervous someone else will use them. I’ve had that happen before, and I really like these…

Plus, my friend Kevin hasn’t even told his wife what he is writing about yet, so I feel a little bit nervous about throwing it all out there. I could start a whole other blog on my topic of choice and use it as a work site. Since I’m new to blogging, can anyone tell me what the conventional wisdom is on this kind of thing?

Hmmm… These are good questions… I’m not sure, but I kind of like the “On Writing” topic; maybe that and/or the Going Green topic would be good to develop further… You could devote your whole blog to one of those topics, or you could just keep it in the sidebar and still post about other things, or you could start a whole new blog… I think it would work whichever way seems most appealing to you, and you can change the format anytime you change your mind.

Thanks for your feedback, Lea. 🙂 I’m still working this through… I think I’ll just keep writing and see what comes the most naturally to me… You know, how Joel’s blog about prosciutto just seemed to flow because it is so natural to him. So we’ll see, I guess 🙂
