I had the most amazing conversation with Mackenzie tonight.
It was her dinnertime, and she was over-tired from our three-hour outing to meet Chris for dinner and run errands before tomorrow’s ice storm.
She wasn’t sure if she wanted to eat or play, so we started talking about our Christmas shopping.
She’s been ahh-ing and gurgling and goo-ing and razzing lot lately, but tonight she put it all together. Whatever sound she made, I imitated, which just seemed to spur her on. It was so delightful and fun, and I started laughing. Then she smiled her big gorgeous smile and started “huh-huh”-ing over and over. The more I laughed, the more she responded. It was amazing!
