Pumpkins + Fall Fun at Bottom View Farm

October 16, 2013

This is a very old post, but still worth sharing. We have been back to Bottom View every year since. Plus, the photos of Mackenzie at age 3 make my heart swoon.

A couple of weekends ago we headed out to Bottom View Farms to pick pumpkins. We went out there in June to pick blueberries and had a great time. Plus, we really wanted to pick out own pumpkins this year.

Bottom View turned out to be a great choice. They had tons of gigantic pumpkins to choose from and super reasonable prices ($1/small, $3/medium, $5/large). We actually had a hard time finding a small baby pumpkin for Mackenzie, but we did find one eventually.

We didn’t make it out in time for Mackenzie to ride the train or do a hayride, but we did get to feed the animals and play on the merry-go-round and air pillow. Well worth the trip!

    Mackenzie is getting so big!

We go to the same farm every year to pick apples. My parents took me and my sisters there every year, and now we get to take our daughter. 🙂 We don’t usually pick pumpkins, but we pick a ton of apples. This year, we sauced them and then canned the sauce. YUM.
