All Dolled Up

June 27, 2010

We were so blessed on Wednesday to receive two big boxes of baby girl clothes from our friends Aaron and Lane Reddin. I spent Thursday and Friday sorting, washing, and folding all of the clothes. I really can’t believe how much they gave us. Mackenzie has enough clothes to get her solidly through her first year, and enough to give us a head start after that. And, the clothing sizes seem to be about perfect with the time of year that she’ll reach those growth marks, which is really amazing.

I had so much fun sorting and folding all of the tiny little onesies, sleepers, pants, jumpers, dresses, and hats. It reminded me of a story my mom has told me about my dad peeking in on her while she was dressing my sister and I up in different outfits. I always thought that story was kind of cute, but now I can totally relate. Every time I found something cute (which happened a lot), I’d show it to Chris, and he would just smile. I am going to have so much fun dressing Mackenzie up.

Our first diaper order from Cotton Babies came in the mail on Friday, too, so we are really starting to feel prepared. I have quite a bit more to order, but these One Size 3.0s were on sale, so I thought it was a good time to get started building our cloth diaper stash.
