“Happy” DIY Easter Decor

February 24, 2013

I am making an effort to celebrate more at home, and one of the easiest ways to do that is decorate for holidays. It helps Mackenzie recognize and become familiar with changing seasonal patterns, and it helps me be more aware and fully present in the moment.

I saw this pin on Pinterest and was inspired to try a version of my own. We found a vintage, mustard-yellow cola crate at the flea market yesterday, and that sealed the deal.

Paper mâché eggs
+ washable paint
+ markers
+ washi tape
+ river rocks
+ pretty fake floral
+ antique cola box

= Simple, fun, toddler-friendly Easter DIY

Total project time (with toddler allowance): 2 hours
