Textile Fabrics is one of my favorite local fabric stores in Nashville. I discovered it when I was searching for fabric for Mackenzie’s crib bedding. We bought this beautiful bird-print flannel there that became the inspiration for her entire room.
We’ve actually purchased quite a bit there over the years. You can always count on a wide variety of styles, especially fabrics I would typically have to order, like Japanese screen printed fabrics or Amy Butler fabric.
The fabrics tend to be more expensive, though, than what you might find at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, or Jo-Ann’s. For that reason, I wait all year long for Textile Fabric’s annual summer sale. Beginning from the day after Memorial Day through the month of June, all fabric is 50% off.
So you know where I was Saturday afternoon, right?
Actually, I thought the sale started June 1. Otherwise, I would have been there sooner. Lesson learned.
This one is a laminated cotton that Mackenzie picked out. I am pretty sure my friend Keli used the same print in her daughter Lucy’s baby quilt. It’s so pretty.
When I saw this cotton print, I just knew. It belongs in my kitchen. I showed it to Chris, and he agreed. We’ve been looking for something for the windows that would let the light in, but still bring a bit of color. This print is perfect.
This one was hard to photograph. It’s a light pink with cream colored vintage cameras. I got enough to make a little dress for Mackenzie. I think it will be adorable.
This is another laminated cotton. I’m making a bento lunch box carrier for Mackenzie with it, as well as reusable snack bags. It’s so colorful. I love it!
So now you’ve seen my haul (so far, ahem). If I can get through these sewing projects in the next couple of weeks, I may just have to go back for more. 🙂
