Reading "Which Way the Wind Blows"

As a teenager I was very blessed to have some great mentors, including Don Cremer, my manager when I worked at the local newspaper. I was part of a very passionate youth group, but Don was one of the few adults I knew who was equally passionate about living a life devoted to God and reaching the lost for Christ. He was part of the Jesus Movement in the 70s and still believed in the power of living authentically with the lost.

Since graduating high school and moving away, I think I’ve run into Don once or twice. As far as I know, Don and his wife Judy still live in Harrison, the town where I spent most of my childhood, but I am rarely back there except to drive through. Last weekend Chris and I stopped there on our way home from Springfield, MO, for a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop called Common Grounds. 

The coffee was surprisingly excellent (no Starbucks locations to be found), but I was even more delighted to see a book by Judith Cremer for sale. I double-checked, and it was indeed written (and even signed) by my dear friend. Of course I had to buy it, and although I’m just a chapter in, I am enjoying reading Judy’s story of faith. It’s called Which Way the Wind Blows, and I found it available online. Definitely check it out for a bit of encouragement.
