For the last great while, everything I’ve designed or decorated or made at home has had a very neutral theme. I’ve painted my living room six times, but they were all shades of brown, gray, or beige.

I am really happy with the current buttercream color. Even though it’s stilly technically a shade of beige, it also leaves so much room for other color accents, makes the room feel lighter, and really opens up the space.

So not too long ago I began to think about why all I am seeing lately are shades of beige, and I began to pray that God would help me see color instead.

I know that sounds odd, but I’m the kind of person that has to consciously choose to be happy over being introspective or serious. If all I am seeing is grey or beige, that can’t be good, right?

Lately, these are the colors I am seeing most and to which I am most drawn. Aren’t they lovely?
