How Hard I Try

It’s raining again today in Nashville. We enjoyed a glimpse of beautiful weather yesterday, but today, the storm clouds have returned.

On days like today (and rainy months like these), it’s easy to let the weather outside affect my day. It’s easy to let the grayness outside to creep in, sending my thoughts on an introspective (and often negative) spin. Listening to music while I’m working helps me keep the grayness at bay.

My favorite album for rainy days is Eight Belles by Amy Seeley. I love the entire album, but How Hard I Try hits close to home today. You can listen to the full track on last.fm.
