The Game

September 18, 2010

Last weekend we went to South Bend, Indiana, with Chris’s family to watch Notre Dame play Michigan. It was a typical Wilcox Family Adventure. We walked in the rain, wore giant rain suits, cheered until our voices were hoarse, and nursed our wounds when Notre Dame lost to Michigan in the last quarter.

I love the pageantry at Notre Dame. This weekend’s game fell on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and the opening ceremony for the game reflected the patriotism of the audience, as well as a sensitivity and compassion toward those who lost loved ones in the attacks. I hope you enjoy the video.
