Today was Chris’s first day at his really cool, new graphic design job. I am so excited for him, and I know he is going to do really well.
As far as first days go, though, today could have gone a little better on the home front. The smoke alarm in the garage went off this afternoon, and the garage filled with smoke really badly. We’re still not sure what the cause was, but we suspect lint in the dryer vents. So. I get to take Mackenzie to Home Depot tomorrow so we can figure it out.
I did not take any pictures today, but I did add to my list of crazy-making things about this house. Want to read it?
- One cannot, under any circumstances, use greater than 60W of power in any of the electrical outlets.
- One cannot run any two water-based apparatuses at the same time. For example, no flushing toilets in one bathroom while someone is showering in the other. Or running the dishwasher and washing machine at the same time.
- There are only three grounded outlets in the entire house. THREE.
- One can only wash and dry one load of laundry per day. (I don’t know why. My landlord thinks I am ridiculous for not knowing this and that I am crazy for washing one load while drying another. Obviously.)
