At Home Life

An Update

May 3, 2014

Hello, friends, and happy Friday!

What a busy spring it has been! I feel like we started running a marathon when we moved into our new house, and it just hasn’t let up.

We gave up freelance for the sake of our sanity for a bit, and we’ve enjoyed putting that time into the health of our family and getting some items marked off our house project list.

Oh, and then there was Easter weekend.

And the St. Jude Rock n Roll Country Music marathon that we ran in just two hours and forty-seven minutes.
Completely unprepared, shoddy training and all.

And then that other marathon, HackNashville. (More on that later.)

And then there’s this little lady, growing up so fast I can’t keep up.

It’s hard to have words for all of the changes, when some days, it feels like nothing has changed at all. The truth is that we’re finally on the other side of what was an intense, stressful house-buying-and-moving-in season, and we’re back to our usual routine. Our aim is always to enjoy the sweet moments in each day, but to always keep moving forward. Some days we do better at that than others.

So thanks for hanging in there with me. I appreciate the time you spending reading my little updates and leaving your sweet comments more than you know. I have a garden update post (and a tale about a garden accidentally planted on top of a concrete slab), house projects posts (we’re making progress!), a few DIYs, and more children’s book review posts ready to share. Soon! I promise. 🙂
